Artist Name: 11 national and international artists, including: Adelin Schweitzer, Brooks Wenzel, ETC, Gavin Rouille, Jessica Frelund, Kara J. Schmidt, Melissa Deerson, osvaldo civils, Ralf Sander, Shannon Novak, Yunjin La-mei Woo, Zachary Carlisle Davidson
The participating artists share an interest in reappropriating conventional ways of using or occupying public spaces, systems, or mass-produced commodities for unexpected purposes, which may denaturalize routinized patterns of everyday life. By twisting common assumptions or repeated habits of the everyday, their works attempt to disturb how things are supposed to be and how we are expected to live and communicate. In doing so, these practices may bring attention to imaginative and contingent qualities of everyday life.

Inspired and moved by nature and all its moving parts, Talia Halliday ofConduit Press is using leather to recreate something more permanent than the leaves that turn color and fall to the forest floor each fall.
In this series of work, Talia has created an array of vessels crafted from leather and taking on the shape of nature; taking something natural and raw, and impressing into it something even more natural.

THE MEN IN MY HOUSE, photographs by Doug Paul Case
Doug Paul Case is a poet and photographer originally from Connecticut. His current project, The Men in My House, explores contemporary attitudes on voyeurism and masculine beauty. These photographs ask us to consider what we see when we look through strangers’ windows, if the people inside are actually home. As his Bloomington house’s double-pane windows reflect the environment back at the camera, the observer/observed relationship is complicated by a glimpse of what the model can see.
