Gallery Walk is LOOKING for INTERNS!
Gallery Walk is looking for highly motivated, personable, detail-oriented interns who can work well both individually and as part of a team to begin immediately.
Interns will have the opportunity to conduct research, carry out administrative projects, and assist during openings and events. Interns will also be responsible for specific projects based on their individual department of interest.
The internship position includes the following responsibilities:
– Liaise between gallery visitors and staff
– Update and organize archives, press materials, and inventory database
– Assist with gallery correspondence/mailings
– General administrative and registrar duties
– Marketing Idea Collab
The ideal candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, should be highly organized, with the ability to multi-task, complete work in a timely and efficient manner and possess a working knowledge of standard Mac and Windows programs including Microsoft Office.
If you have experience in design always a plus!
The applicant should have a background/interest in art history, contemporary art, museum studies or arts administration. Professional phone demeanor is a must.
Recent graduates or rising college seniors preferred.
We require the intern work at least 10-15 hrs a week with a commitment of 3-4 months. Internships are unpaid but may be applied toward college credit. Letter of recommendation available upon successful completion of internship.
This internship begins in September 2014.
