Michal Solarski + Tomasz Liboska – Cut It Short
Pictura Gallery presents Cut it Short a photographic series chronicling the adventures of two boys growing up in a town on the Southern edge of Poland. Michal Solarski + Tomasz Liboska have channeled the longing, confusion, and dreams of their shared youth into a series of photographs, a compelling portrait of teenage friendship. They planned to be rock stars; they wanted to be revolutionary, but instead they just grew up. Twenty years later, Solarski and Liboska come together to reconstruct the past events of their lives. They play out the scenes, one by one, trying to remember every possible detail and gesture. And in doing so, their images convey an unfiltered honesty and rawness of emotion coupled with a dark and simple beauty.
